At this time, I am taking any existing or previous clients, referrals from those clients, or Professional & Amateur Athletes, Dancers or Musicians in need of Therapeutic or Rehabilitation massage.
As a caretaker for my wife, I cannot always answer a phone or deal with all of the spam, so if you have my personal number, please feel free to text me or leave a message when you call. If not, please email me at relaxationretreat@gmail.com.
If you are a new client, please include your name, a contact number, who referred you, and an explanation of your need—if this is for therapeutic, rehab or injury.
I use a Body Cushion to help with lying face down. This allows for a natural body weight traction on the back, neck and shoulders.
I also use it for Pregnancy Massage and it allows most women to lie face down comfortably to get a massage as it has a cut out for the stomach and breast.
The cushion can also be helpful for clients with large bellies because it allows the spine to be in a better position for work on the back.
People ask me how I became a Massage Therapist.
In the Navy, I worked with nuclear weapons on a submarine and transitioned into a role as an Electrical Technician with the power company where I cut-in Generating Stations and Substations.
See my Electrical Tech Resume.
On a weekend holiday, I was injured while water skiing, sent cartwheeling across the water at 60+mph. I needed to cut-in our first Fiber-Optic Protective Relaying System on Tuesday, but the doctor could not fix me enough to go to work, so I tried a massage therapist.
When I got off the table, I had full range of motion in my neck and shoulder. My doctor released me Tuesday morning at 8:30am, the company doctor released me at 11am, I was on-site at 1pm, and we energized the system at 3:30pm.
Impressed, I took classes at night, eventually took a buy-out at work and started doing massage full time.
